When you first step in, there's a menu board right at the register. They have classic BBQ options, and they have a wine list. There's books about African history and black figures to the left, along with some bar seating and a wall of wine bottles. To the right, there's lots of seating at regular tables. There's also some seating outside (similar to the ones you see at public parks). The temperature inside is usually okay, but when it's warmer outside, it becomes warm inside as well. I'm not sure if they have A/C, but I definitely didn't feel it. There's decent parking available. The staff are nice, but the service can be slow. I once was standing at the register for a couple of minutes before anyone approached me. The wait for food can be between 15 minutes and 35 minutes. When I saw the price ($30-$35), I thought it was steep, but when I tasted the food and saw the portion size, it was absolutely worth it. There's a lunch and dinner option. I would recommend getting the dinner option because you already get portions enough for 2 people, but you get an extra roll. I've had the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, collard greens, and rolls. Everything tastes amazing. The brisket and mac & cheese truly are perfect.
Hands down one of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to. The meats were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and every side was just as good as the main dishes. Nothing was disappointing—everything tasted fresh and homemade. Highly recommend!
The meats are exceptionally tender, juicy and flavorful. Perfect on their own, no dipping sauce needed. But if you choose to have some sauce, the sauces made here are delicious. The side dishes are scrumptious. The owner is clearly passionate about making amazing smoke house / BBQ food. The dining table and chairs are comfortable, and the dinning area is well decorated and laid-out. I recommend ordering this restaurant’s “3 Meat Dinner” so you’ll have leftovers for later, because you’ll want more!
This is one of my local favorites! We usually come to Daddy o's and split a plate loaded with greens, mac and cheese, and either brisket chicken or ribs...the Ribs being my favorite the way they fall off the bone Mac is loaded with herbs to give it an extra boost, and the super flavorful greens... Food is amazing. We tried hot-link, tri tip, brisket, ribs and salmon all sooo delicious. For the sides we tried mac n cheese, yams, greens and baked beans… also so good!! Highly recommend this place!
